Symetrix has lost one of our primary Internet connections about 25 minutes ago.  This affects several hosting services including Email, Web, Peer-Link, and FTP.  We have contacted our ISP and they are in the process of testing the circuit.

A little after 6PM our primary mail server suffered a hardware problem.  We have repaired the server and service was restored at 8:45 PM.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Symetrix has experienced an Internet Services outage on our primary Internet connection.  We are working on the problem and hope to have it resolved within the hour.

Our Primary Internet connection is working again as of 12:32 PM.  Our primary firewall became unresponsive.  Once reset the Internet connection and all traffic began flowing again.

We will continue to monitor the connections.  Thank you for your patience during this outage.

Symetrix has experienced an Internet outage on our primary connection.  We are working on it now.  Will provide an update shortly.


This outage is affecting several services such as web hosting, email hosting, Peer-Link and others.

Just a follow-up to the previous note about GoToMyPC.  They appear to be up again.  According to the forums they did have some server issues today, but didn't give much detail.

They did provide a website where they supposedly provide updates when there are outages:

All Services have been functioning normally and we are continuing to monitor, tweak, and test.  We began to be able to access services via Sprint at about 7PM Saturday (27th). 

It has come to our attention that GoToMyPC is having issues with their servers today and thus all computers with GoToMyPC are showing offline.  This is totally unrelated to our changes, but since many of our clients use the GoToMyPC service, we wanted to point this out.

We'll keep monitoring this situation as well.

Again, all Symetrix services should be available to you.  If are having difficulty, please let us know.

As of 3/27/2010 @ 1:45 AM Eastern, all services are up again.

We have tested it from various computers connected to a variety of Internet Providers such as:

Comcast
Charter
AT&T
NuVox

Still some providers are not showing the changes, such as Sprint.

If you have trouble accessing our services, you might first try rebooting your PC to make sure it flushes out the old addresses.

We will test more as the weekend progresses and keep you posted.
