Shortly before 4PM on 01/01/2013 Symetrix began experiencing issues with our primary Internet Service Provider, Windstream Communications (formerly NuVox). This outage appears to be very widespread and is affecting all our customers in the Knoxville, TN area that use Windstream. Based upon our network probing, we suspect there has been a fiber-optic cable cut between Atlanta, GA and Knoxville, TN but we have no way to confirm that. Symetrix is monitoring the situation and will post again if we have any new information to pass along. Our sincere apologies for this disruption of service.
